Luck of the Irish

Hi! I finally got time to play in a limited supply challenge on SCS. I have been working at my local scrapbook store moving some inventory around, it's been fun, but totally cutting into stamping time:)
I just love this Karen Stopler image from American Art Stamps. I stamped it onto PTI Lemon Tart paper and colored it with Copic markers. My two embellishments are glitter and ribbon. This card would be totally easy to mass produce.
Stop by PaperAddiction.com to check out the Basic Grey lines that came in a few days ago, Marrakech and Porcelain, mmmm!

Give Thanks

Hi! This is for the Limited Supply Challenge...BawHaHa (I guess they didn't get my memo about the absurd amount of stuff I have. I shouldn't ever be allowed to play in that challenge (grinning). Well the challenge was to use a stamp that hasn't seen ink in a long time (never) and to use up some stuff you have been hoarding, how fortuitous (see previous post) and paper remnants. I think I almost hit the limit on the number of embellishments you can put on a card before someone turns you into the card police. I also used Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I stamped the image with brown StazOn on cream cardstock and colored it with Copics. For this I really wish I had used my watercolors. I might try again later, but what you see is what you get for now. I colored some twill with a Really Rust SU! Marker.

So here it is....my brand spankin' new desk. Can I just tell you how much I LOVE it so far. I used it on the card today and it was so convenient. I had the trunks under the desk already so I just moved them underneath. They hold SU! stamps. The cubbies with the boxes are now holding a few clear stamps and Cuttlebug folders and dies. The boxes where a computer key pad would go are holding thread and other sewing machine things. I got the unfinished box with the lid at Michaels. I will finish it at some point:) But for now it's just wonderful! So what do you think?

Thanks so much for stamping by!

Successful Woman

Woohoo! Remember how I told you about the order I placed with Carrie owner of My Little Stamp Shack last Wednesday...well I got my stamps on Friday and this was one of the sets I ordered from Impression Obsession, called Smell the Coffee (this was the set I used my 40% off coupon for). I made this card for the Limited Supply Challenge posted on Friday, to make a long and tall card, this card measures 4 x 8 1/2. I used Versamark to ink the image and then embossed it with copper ep. I used my SU! chalks (really rust) to lightly color the coffee mugs. I also embossed the sentiment with copper ep. I used my cuttlebug and the negative inking technique to emboss the vanilla panel. For the bottom detail I used 2 rows of red sticky tape to adhere micro beads that I have been hoarding for an embarrassing amount of time. Simple and fabulous and I just love that sentiment! Click on the picture for a closer view. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, see you tomorrow.

Are you ready for some football!!!

This is for the limited supply challege, something inspired from the BIG GAME and Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. Can I just tell you how much fun I had with this card! I rarely do boy cards and just love how this one came together. The BG grass paper I have had for like 100 years and thought I would never find a suitable use for it. The football image and the sentiment are from the same $1 stamp set from Mike's, hello, how fun and I have really been wanting to use them! I doodled the plays on the cream background paper. I actually googled football formations so they would be somewhat authentic (that doesn't mean I understood what I was looking at mind you)

Chic Hello

This is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. This is such a great versatile sketch. I did angle the image to add a little interest and show off the felt flower behind the image. This is also for the limited supply challenge to use scraps. I did stamp the image for this, but the paper is leftover from a card I did earlier in the week. I am really trying to focus on that this year. I am getting overwhelmed by my scrap pile...I hate to throw even the smallest scrap of paper away. I have organized my scraps by color and am getting better about reaching for those before a fresh sheet of paper. Do you have any wonderful ideas for scraps? I would love to hear how you deal with scraps and supplies that you tend not to reach for.

The image is from Close to my heart and the sentiment is from the $1 bin at Mike's.

More Love

EDIT~ Well I am extremely thrilled that I had to remove this because it will be in an upcoming issue of Paper Crafts Magazine...this is the second card of mine that was picked up woohoo! I can re-post the picture a couple of weeks before the issue comes out!

I see a theme devoloping here! This is for the limited supply challenge, no white or vanilla paper. This card was very easy to do...just a little embossing and cutting, done! I stamped the heart from My Favorite Things Boho Blossoms on basic grey paper and then embosses with silver ep. The second layer of paper is metallic silver. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Someone pointed out to me that Vegas (Veges) was spelled wrong in my profile, thanks for pointing that out...it was right under my picture and I never caught it. I guess we get used to what's right in front of our face, right or wrong:) I guess that will be my little lesson for today!
