Be Mine

Hi! Here's a little peek at one of the 4 new sets being released on Wednesday at My Favorite Things. Flopsey is back as a Valentine!

I paired him with Basic Grey Bittersweet 6x6 paper and played the TLC challenge to use red line tape and glitter. I stamped Flopsey with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored him with Copic markers.

Don't forget to leave a comment on the previous post for you chance to win some 12x12 sheets from the Urban Rhapsody stack from K&Co. (You can leave a comment just for me here;)

Thanks for stamping by today!

Let's Do Lunch

Hi! One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is having lunch with my girlfriends, I think that is why I *heart* this stamp so much. I combined the My Favorite Things Who's That Girl Challenge for this week (use paper piecing) with the Technique challenge to make Jen Del Muro's pizza box. Wouldn't it be fun to include a gift card inside this super simple box?

I stamped the image on PTI white paper with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and paper pieced the outfits with paper from the 6x6 pads from BasicGrey called Offbeat and Ambrosia. Let me talk to you about this paper for a second. You are all familiar with BasicGrey, but these pads are particularly wonderful for cardmakers because they didn't just cut the full size sheets down, the patterns are smaller, much better for things like paper piecing. And guess what, they are in stock at PaperAddiction, so go get yours while they last. While you are there check out the really wonderful line we just got in from October Afternoon.

I was a vendor this weekend at a scrapbooking crop. I want to give a shout out to all the wonderful girls I met who were so gracious and welcoming to me, the new girl. You guys rock!

BIG News!!!

I am so thrilled to finally be able to share this....I am the newest member of the My Favorite Things Design Team! WOOHOO! I am pretty sure you are all aware of my love of My Favorite Things Stamps and this is absolutely a dream come true. Kim, the owner, called me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would join. I didn't even ask what was involved before I practically shouted 'YES' to her on the phone. I just adore her images and am honored to be a part of such an uber talented design team. So here is my first official sneak peak of a set that will be released on Wednesday during the cocktail party at SCS.

I did this for the Technique Lover's Challenge, a diorama card. I used new set Friends Furever and a previously released set on special this month called Setting the Stage for the doodled corners. The decorative paper in the center section is from DCWV. I used choc chip for the back panel and kraft for the front. Really simple card that looks so very cool because of the layers.

Hey Chick...

Hi there! I made this for the new MFT sketch challenge and also for the Way to Use it Challenge, to use 2 different decorative papers. I used a lot of machine stitching on this card, but other than that, pretty easy. I used my water color pencils with a blender pen to color the chicks and a grey Copic marker for the shading. The grass was done with 3 diffent colors of waterpencil without blending them.

Hope you are having a wonderful start to your week. Thanks for stamping by!

xoxox

This is for 2 challenges; technique lover's challenge (use a pocket heart on a card) and My Favorite Things sketch challenge. The DP is some that I have had for an embarrassing amount of time. I stamped En Francias onto vanilla cs and embossed with clear ep and then distressed with baroque burgandy. I stamped the heart from MFT Boho Blossoms onto vanilla cs with baroque burgandy and cut it out.

This card is for my wonderful husband. Our 15th wedding anniversary is Wednesday! Wow, it seems like it can't be that many years....

I loved today's try a new technique! I have really been wanting to try stamping on tile and today was the day. I didn't have any Staz-on in the colors I wanted so I use regular SU ink I am hoping with the clear coat of sealant all will be well. Keep your fingers crossed.

Recipe~ Stamps: Carte Postale, Inkadinkado (butterfly and small french script). Ink: Choc chip, Close to Cocoa, Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Baroque Burgandy.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Laura~
