Thanks a Latte Gift Card Holder

Hi! This is my version of the gift card holder for the Technique Challenge over at SCS today. I combined it with the sketch from My Favorite Things Monday Sketch Challenge. I stamped the image from Hot Stuff onto watercolor paper and colored it with classic stamp pads (cocoa, chocolate chip, baroque burgandy, eggplant envy) and a blender pen. The background might look familiar to you, it was a discard from my previous card, but was perfect for this one. I hate to waste paper:) The brad on the paper strip was covered with sticky strip and then dipped into the micro beads, again I had done that for my previous card but couldn't find a place to put it yesterday, but it found a home today. The paper clip was in a package I picked up at the Target $1 spot a couple of months ago. I removed the decorative circle sticker from the top and added sticky tape and then micro beads to coordinate. The flower was just because. I needed the paper clip because I couldn't figure out how to keep the holder closed.
I will hopefully have a watercoloring tutorial by Friday. Happy Monday everyone!
Thanks for stamping by!
Laura

Hi Laura! Another really cute card. You should try selling these cards to a coffee shop! I bet they would do really well. Hope you are having a great Monday!

Girlfriend you have outdone yourself again. *Ü* I want this card...in fact I want a few of them for gift giving. Please tell me that you are gonna put these up for sale. It is so stinking cute. Oh and I wanted to thank you for the link to SCS for the negative inking technique...super cool stuff over there. I can see myself spending hours on that site soaking up the new techniques. Also, I would be interested in any tutorials you are willing to do. I am dying to get caught up with the newest & greatest techniques. Well I am sure we will get some more blog candy tomorrow...cant wait..no pressure really. LOL Have a wondeful day! ~Janna

WOW--this is SOOO PRETTY! Love the swirly embossed part on the top and your colors are fabulous. I haven't tried one of these yet--guess I don't really give many gc's, so if I DO, I'll prolly wait til I have a specific person to make it for. But anyway, this is very lovely :D

Hi again Laura!

Thanks for the sweet comments :D That's so cool that you and your mom made cakes together!! I WISH I didn't have carpul tunnel syndrome in my right wrist, otherwise I would still be actively making them and taking classes. It was a passion of mine. Anyway, you're very sweet for stopping by and dropping a comment. Have a great week!
