Autumn Greetings

Hi! I am happy to report that it is 48 degrees this morning. I got to wear a sweater yesterday:) It is supposed to climb back up into the 80's by the end of the week, but that's okay with me. Thanks for listening about my weather rants.

This card was made for the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS. Anne Ryan is the featured stamper and I cannot even begin to say what a very special person she is. Not only is she a talented stamper she is one of the most generous people. I have received several RAK's from Anne, she just seems to know when someone needs a little pick me up. I cased this card from Anne's gallery. I used a different color combo and a image, but kept the main layout.

I used and image from American Art Stamps called Fall. I have already told you how much I love these images, so I will spare you more gushing. I did use some more paper from October Afternoon Weathervane line. The sale at Paper Addiction on this paper ends on Monday, October 13th and there are just a couple of packs left. Go check it out. I used watercolor pencils and a blender pen for this image.

Thanks so much for stamping by!

Everyday Gifts

I hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful Easter. I got a minute to play the featured stamper challenge. I chose this card to case from Amy Sheffer's wonderful gallery. I changed the colors, the stamp and the added stiching instead of paper piercing. I love the Zen feel of this card and it completely captures my mood today. The image was stamped on Papertrey white cs with choc chip ink. I colored it with a blender pen and ink pads and then added a little more depth with my watercolor pencils. I also traced over the image with my chocolate chip SU! marker. The ribbon is from Mike's and the slide is from SU! Hodgepodge.

Birthday Delivery

Happy Sunday! This card is cased from MJ, her gallery is listed at the very bottom, Beauty Lies Within! She is this week's featured stamper and WOW is she talented. So this card is for my dad. His birthday was yesterday, but I am having him over for dinner today. I am making a pork roast in plum sauce with rice and a ginger fruit salad...I am hungry already!

I wanted to keep this fairly masculine but not too serious. My dad is my biggest fan so I think he'll like it:) I colored the truck with my colored pencils and blender pen. I really like the aged look I can achieve with the pencils. The present is a MFT stamp. I like the burlap for a little bit of a whimsical touch. The slider is from JoAnne's.

CASEing Papermoon

Shelly, Papermoon at SCS, is such a fabulous designer and a wonderful person. She consistently leaves such nice comments for what seems to be everyone! I chose this card to case because the detail is simply stunning and because sadly I need a sympathy card for a friend who lost her mom. I changed the stamps and the colors slightly, but generally kept everything else the same.

Recipe ~ Stamps: Oh So Lovely, Sincere Salutations. Paper: River Rock, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Ruby Red, Watercolor Paper. Ink: Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, So Saffron, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Old Olive. Other: Paper Piercer, Twine, Daubers.

Casing Stamp Owl

Happy Sunday! This is for the Featured Stamper Challenge. This week is StampOwl. She is very talented and has a wonderful gallery! I still need Christmas cards so that's why I chose to make it a holidayish. I stamped the main image on watercolor paper, embossed with clear ep and then colored it with stamp pads and a aquapen. The dp is stuff I have literally had for years. I need to use it or give it away.

Recipe ~ Paper: misc. dp, watercolor, vanilla. Ink: Close to cocoa, ruby red, burgandy, choc chip, old olive, artichoke. Other: Hodgepodge Hardware, stickles.

Thanks for stopping by! Laura~
