New Puppy

Hi everyone! I haven't had a chance to stamp at all this week. We got a new addition to our family so I thought I would introduce him to you and also I want to ask for your help. This is Smokey our new furry friend. We got him from our local rescue shelter. They told us he is a Heinz 57 bully mix. I don't like his name. Please help. The folks at the shelter named him, they had no information about him other than they think he is a victim of the Foreclosure Crisis. As people lose their homes they are leaving parts of their families behind. It is tragic on many levels, but he seems to really like his new home with us. He is a sweet boy with a wonderful disposition. Do you have any ideas? I cannot tell you why I don't like his name, I just don't and he doesn't respond to it so it won't be a big deal to start calling him by another name.

Another year...

So today is my birthday and every year around this time I get a little bent on cleaning and getting my stuff in order. It has to do more with spring fever than with my birthday but you know I had to mention it in the interest of full disclosure:) I am 38 and really pretty happy with how things are progressing with my life. A few gray hairs, a few scars and a few extra pounds, but life is sooo good, I am not going to complain. In fact, I am going to go to my favorite Thai place for dinner and have a glass of wine and go looking for a big piece of chocolate cake! Wish me luck.

Thanks for stamping by!

Laura

Aww! Thanks for adopting and saving a life!

Maybe see how his personality develops over the next few days. He looks like a Rascal to me!

Hey Laura, Happy, happy Birthday. 38 huh. I will be 32 very soon. Doesn't the time go by soooo fast? I hope you had a good dinner tonight. I have never had Thai food. Even though I am a cat person I will tell you he looks cute. Hmmm, names? How about Stamp? lol. Is it your dog or the kids? What do they think? Tommy thinks you should name him Fairway or Chipper, something after golf for Tim. That way he will looooove him. lol!

Ok, now Tommy says you should name him Hogan. I guess that is a brand name Tim uses in golf. Tommy says it's a "good dog name."

What an adorable dog!!! It is so sad and tragic that someone would leave him behind!! I think Toby or Buddy is a good name for a dog.

Well Happy Birthday! as for the puppy name... I had to change the name of a rescued donkey we got a few years ago, I was CRAVING chocolate and due to the coloring it just hit me. CoCoa. Fun Easy to call out. This littel guy looks like he is "sweet" and lots of "fun" and "craves" attention. That to me is Cocoa! What ever you name him he looks like he will be well loved!

Hi Laura

Happy belated Birthday! I just checked your blog yesterday & there were no updates. It seems that all the blogspot ones take a day to come up including my own. So very frustrating! hahaha Anyways, sorry I got off topic. I hope you got to enjoy your Thai dinner. Sounds amazing. Your little pup pup is so darn cute. I bet your kiddos are hog heaven playing with him. As for a name...I am clueless. I know you will come up with something grand. Have a wonderful weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!

My DD suggested Chipper right away -- how funny that someone else said that too! My suggestion is Grady - I have no idea why!

Love your blog -- hope your day yesterday was so much fun!

Oh what a face. Just make you want to hug him. What about Blaze for the blaze on his chest. Or jack,

Blessings on your birthday!
