Toy's Sketch Challenge

Good morning! I made this card to play along with a weekly sketch challenge that Toy is doing. Thanks, Toy, for a great sketch. I hadn't use this image yet from MFT's Eggstra Special and it was really about time. To color the image, I use a VersaMark pen and pastel chalks. I love the soft look they give and I think it really goes well with the Cosmo Cricket DP. I used my Cuttlebug for the flowers and added some itty bitty buttons.

I am going to go out in a little bit to take another walk. This day is starting out much like yesterday, I hope it continues to go that way and I wish the same for you. Some of you have mentioned snow so I will enjoy the gorgeous weather here for you:)

Thanks for stamping by!

Laura

Very springy and "chirpy!" Love the layered flowers and that open look on the one flower. Also the blossoms are indeed beautiful...ahhhh, for that touch of spring here in the cold midwest!

I love the colors you used on this card and the flower accents.

Back to the bakery thing... I worked in a grocery store bakery for close to 14 years. I did a bit of everything but spent most of my time decorating. I did basic stuff - no fondant, no royal icing etc. It was pretty mainstream cake kits, specialty cakes that corporate decided we make, and for the most part run of the mill wedding cakes. I'm kind of bummed that I didn't get trained on the fancy stuff (they do that now), but its always something I can go back to.

Hope you enjoyed your walk!

So springy! Love the colors in your most wonderful card! I really should ink up this image too, it is sad and lonely here at my house. TFS!
